Event Overview:
The 7th Chinese American Art Faculty Association (CAAFA) Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Nanfeng International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou, China, from May 16-19, 2025. This event is part of the Guangdong International Art Week - International Modern and Contemporary Art Special Exhibition Area and will feature an International Contemporary Art Special Public Welfare Exhibition and an International Academic Forum on ‘AI & Art & Future Talent Cultivation’.
This gathering highlights transnational, cross-cultural, and interdisciplinary practices in the digital and intelligent age. It seeks to bridge Eastern and Western artistic traditions and creative fields while demonstrating how higher art educators transform isolated practices into boundless contemporary works. The event aims to inspire educators and students alike to explore infinite creative possibilities beyond cultural and disciplinary boundaries, promote creative research, and encourage intellectual exchange between China and the U.S.

Theme: Borderless: Great Love & Collaboration
Sub-ExhibitionThe National Chinese American Art Faculty Association Theme Exhibition (20-30 artists)

This year’s theme encourages artists and educators to reflect on the synergy between art and technology, cultural fusion, and collaborative creative processes. The event’s exhibitions and discussions will highlight the role of interdisciplinary approaches in fostering inclusivity and creative exchange.
Artists are invited to submit works created within the past three years, including framed art (100x100 cm), video and media art, installation, and sculpture. Selected works will be displayed in both exhibitions and lectures. Participants will also have the opportunity to include their works in the public-interest exhibition and sales at Guangdong International Art Week (10% of sales will be donated to support special public welfare projects).
