Twelve copies of the livre d’artiste titled The Blue Danube were created beginning in early spring 2017 in Brooklyn and continuing through the sultry summer in Hangzhou, China. The images are cyanotypes made by the artist, on the north shore of Long Island, NY, the complementary color to the blue of the cyanotype). The one-of-a-kind cyanotypes are digitalized and printed on a luxurious fine art silk and rice paper.
The cover and slipcase use blue silk and follow the accordion-style format of an imperial Chinese album.
All copies are signed by the artist, Han Qin.
